Elmvale Drive-In

A Summer Tradition for more than 50 Years!

Since 1960, Sam Russ and family have been serving up movies and fast food to delighted movie fans at the Elmvale Drive-In. Interestingly, this drive-in has employed area teens some of whom would be entering their senior years. That is one long-standing tradition! 

Fast forward to 2010, the Drive-In still employs area teens and it is still run by Sam, wife Jo-Anne and projectionist John (who came as a young man in 1979 and still works every summer). 

While the Drive-In has more competition these days, there are still hundreds of people who enjoy a good, old-fashioned, movie by starlight. 

There is plenty to eat while you stare at the screen; popcorn and soda pop as well as warm foods like pizza pockets, hot dogs, cheeseburgers and nachos. There is no danger of driving away with the speaker still attached to your car as the Elmvale Drive-In has upgraded their technology to allow you to hear their signal on your FM radio. The sound is state of the art!

Open from May 24 (just weekends until July 1st), then full weeks all summer until Labour Day.
