It makes sense that we all tend to see things differently.

We all have varying life experiences, information, judgements, perspectives and interests. We all think differently. People tend to become rigid and fixed in their expectations and beliefs about what's "right or wrong".

Conflict occurs when there is a perception of competing interests between people. Because of our perceived differences, conflict seems to be a natural and normal occurrence in our lives. When conflict occurs in a family, particularly around a marriage separation, it can be worse because of the emotion involved. Taking sides and being right can seem even more important than never.

Weak brittle nails or white spots? What is your body telling you?

Naturopathic doctors are always looking for all pieces of the puzzle when it comes to health. Detailed physical exams can tell you a lot about someone's wellbeing. Your health history combined with simple observation of your skin, teeth, tongue and nails can give clues about the inside of your body. However, please remember that this is just one piece of the puzzle and therefore be sure to consult your health care provider before you start supplementation or treating any conditions.

Have a look down at your nails. Do you notice anything remarkable about them? Have they always looked this way or do you notice anything different. Explore their shape, colour, flexibility, strength, and nail bed condition. Here is a list of things that your nails may be telling you!

Pediatric care and your Naturopathic Doctor:

beyond symptoms of ear infections, ADD, autism, constipation and much more.

13-month-old child. Childcare workers are concerned. This child is not following developmental milestones of pointing and babbling. “Perhaps your child is autistic?” states the caregiver. Mom is in a state of panic. In a naturopathic appointment we address some underlying issues: colic, constipation, poor sleep? We eliminate food sensitivities suspected and add a few supplements to address the problems. Mom is in disbelief. How is it possible that eliminating a food can make a child so different? Symptoms improve ninety percent and the child is babbling nonstop.
