Beach 1Released May 7, 2012 by the Town of Wasaga Beach.

The Town of Wasaga Beach is pleased to confirm that effective April 27, 2012, 16 beachfront properties at Beach Area One under the control of the Court appointed Receiver have been sold. The purchaser of the properties is Belcub Management Inc. The properties sold for $11.5M and as part of the transaction, the Town received a certified cheque in the amount of $371,292.23 representing the outstanding tax and water arrears owing on the properties.

soccer ballWasaga Beach is proud today as we learn that a local girl's soccer team has picked up a silver medal at the international soccer tournament in Agropoli, Italy. The news story is featured here if you would like to read it. The Simcoe.com article reports "the team lost its first two exhibition games against two USA teams, had two ties against Columbia and Italy, and won their final qualifying game against Italy."

What can we say except Wow! Good job ladies.
