Darlene Watters - Vocalist Divine |

Darlene and Rick have
been together since the late 1980's first joining forces forming a straight ahead Toronto
styled hard rock band with Pete Swann and Mark Santers. This impressive line-up displaying
the awesome guitar talent of Swann with the already polished rhythm section of Lazaroff
and M. Santers, topped off with some truly amazing vocals by Ms. Watters, hurricaned
through many clubs in southern Ontario. Not able
to generate any serious industry interest for such a chop oriented band, all decided to
part ways due to pursue other projects.

In the early 90's Darlene and Rick began performing
as a Pop Duo utilizing midi gear to create a "virtual band".
Spending most of their gigging time in nightclubs, resorts, casinos and pubs
in southern
Ontario, they also appeared in other locations such as Quebec, New York State and the
United Arab Emirates. During this period they released their first recording together called
"Dancing Off The Deep End", a likeable, tongue-in-cheek dance album with a sense
of humour.
| After several years of working with computers, synths and
samplers, Rick and partner Darlene Watters have put together a Jazz Combo
under the moniker of "Time Zone" concentrating on Jazz & Blues
standards in a mostly acoustic setting. Their debut appearance was August 3rd, '99 at The Jazz in the Park concert
series in Wasaga Beach. They were in the company of fine musicians this night as
legendary Canadian Jazz artists Alex
Lazaroff (drums) and Norman Amadio (piano) were part of the quartet. This project marks yet another turn
in direction for these two talented Canadian musicians showing the versatility of Ms.
Watters who can quite easily handle styles ranging from AC/DC to Whitney Houston to Aretha
Franklin to Ella Fitzgerald: and the wide ranging styles of Lazaroff who feels
equally comfortable playing anything from Monk to Zeppelin. |

The Watters/Lazaroff "Time Zone" Jazz project has recently
been playing at some jazz clubs and resorts in the Toronto area. With fine
musicians such as Joe Huron (guitar), Tim Moore (drums), Joe Lagan (piano) and Mark Hathaway (piano,
sax) rounding
out the group. "Time Zone" is off to an impressive start.
Darlene Watters and Rick
Lazaroff's "Time Zone" perform a wide variety of Jazz
encompassing Jazz and Blues standards, Swing and Be-Bop. Ms. Watters
blusey approach and the solid and creative musical musings of her cohorts
make for an enjoyable reflection on the Jazz idiom.

Rick
Lazaroff has
been playing professionally since the age of 14. During the 1980s
he recorded four albums with the power rock trio Santers, and appeared on Lee Aarons debut
album. In 1990 Rick joined up with amazing Canadian Jazz Guitarist,
Orhan Demir to record the guitarist's third album,
"Windmill". While working with Santers, he performed on stages throughout
Canada, the U.S. and England opening for acts like Ozzy Osborne, Johnny
Winter, Blue Oyster Cult, Magnum and Golden Earring to name a few. All the
Santers' recordings have been re-released on C.D. these last few years
and with this renewed interest in the band from it's fans, a new
recording is on it's way. The first live show since 1986 took
place at the infamous El Mocambo in Toronto, Canada on April 20,
2001. Click on "More about Rick Lazaroff and Santers" for
